K2 Claims Services, a leading third-party claims administrator, announced today the successful completion of its SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 examinations, marking the second consecutive year the organization has achieved both certifications. The examinations were completed without exception.

The independent audits were conducted by A-LIGN, a nationally recognized cybersecurity and compliance firm. The SOC 1 Type 2 report evaluates controls relevant to financial reporting, while the SOC 2 Type 2 report assesses controls related to security, availability, and operational integrity over an extended review period. Both reports confirm that K2’s controls are not only properly designed but also operating effectively over time.

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC examinations are among the most widely recognized standards for evaluating internal controls and data protection practices. Successful completion assures that an organization maintains strong governance across its systems, processes, people, and technology.

“Completing both SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 examinations for a second year—without exception—reflects our continued commitment to compliance, transparency, and operational excellence,” said K2 Claims Services leadership. “Our clients trust us with sensitive information, and we take that responsibility seriously.”

This achievement reinforces K2 Claims Services’ dedication to maintaining robust safeguards, supporting regulatory expectations, and delivering secure, reliable claims administration services to its carrier partners.
